tISI is more than a clothing brand — it is a wearable craft piece. Born from a deep love for local heritage, every piece we create is a living collaboration between design and the hands of skilled artisans in northern Thailand.
Our Home: Sun Din Daeng Village, Chiang Mai
At the heart of tISI is Sun Din Daeng Village in Chiang Mai, where generations of weavers, dyers, and embroiderers have kept traditional craft alive. We work directly with these local artisans — not as suppliers, but as partners and co-creators. Their knowledge, passed down through families, is woven into every thread of our pieces.
Fabric Rooted in the Land
We source local northern Thai fabric and dye it using herbs and plants found in the surrounding landscape. The colours you see in a tISI piece are not from a factory — they come from the earth: roots, leaves, bark, and flowers that have been used by Thai communities for centuries. Each natural dye lot is unique, meaning no two pieces are ever exactly alike.
The Craft Process
From weaving on traditional looms to hand-embroidery and natural dyeing, every step of our process is done with intention and care. We believe that slowing down — taking the time to do things by hand — is itself an act of preservation.
Our design philosophy is simple: "There is no need to put an effort into something in order to preserve our local heritage if there is a demand in our modern society." When people choose tISI, they are choosing to keep this craft alive — not out of obligation, but out of genuine love for something beautiful and meaningful.
